The T36, available in Mystic Yellow and Classic Blue colours, represents the company's first totally wireless mobile phone model that allows users to connect their phones with other mobile devices or peripherals, minus the cables. Two versions of the T36 will be produced. The T36m, and the T36mc which features a Chinese interface that supports Chinese SMS messages, and allows users to store up to a generous 2000 Chinese names in the Phone Book. Like Ericsson's other T series phones, the T36 comes with a flip top design. With a tiny form factor, the T36 can be tucked away in your pocket or bag and can be used with the Ericsson's Bluetooth Headset. Ericsson's Bluetooth Headset integrates a built-in Bluetooth radio chip that acts as a connector between the headset and the phone. What's more the T36 allows users to beam ring signals, business e-cards, as well as play interactive games between phones. Mobile professionals and frequent travelers will also be pleased to know the T36 is also the first GSM triple band (900/1800/1900) phone from Ericsson, which means it supports GSM networks in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas where there is GSM frequency. As with most mobile phones of the future, the T36 is WAP-friendly, allowing access to information services over the Internet. In addition, the phone supports High Speed Data (HSCSD), which enables users to send and receive data as fast as a 28.8Kbps landline over the standard 9.6Kbps connections currently supported by GSM networks. For added convienience, the phone supports voice recognition, so next time your T36 rings, or if you want to make a call, you can press a key on the headset and use the voice recognition feature to answer or initiate a call. Users can also navigate parts of the phone's the menu system using voice commands, and record and store voice memos in the phone's memory. The T36 also improves on keypad-based text input and supports predictive text input software that lets you whip out short messages and emails at a faster pace. Utilizing advanced PIM (Personal Information Management) applications, the T36 comes with several intelligent features. For example, the phone alerts you when you've got mail and is the first mobile phone from the company to incorporate Aircalender. Aircalendar allows your phone calendar to receive real-time updates using open standard Wide Area Network Synchronization.
